how to submit your artwork

At both our Santa Fe and Wash Park locations, every 90 days our walls are taken over by a fresh solo exhibition or group show. For us, it's about supporting Denver artists so join us year-round for the First Friday Art Walk (Santa Fe Location) and other community art events. Got art? Submit your proposal.

Include a brief artist statement, bio and digital images of work no larger than 3 MB and as a JPEG only.

Once submitted we will email you back letting you know if your work has been accepted.

Accepted applicants will be responsible for:

  1. Delivery of work: All materials and artwork must be delivered by the artist.

  2. Pick up of work: Artwork must be picked up by the artist and/or shipping arrangements prepared and arranged by the artist at the end date of the show. The Molecule Effect is not responsible for the return of artwork if unclaimed or when no arrangements have been made.

  3. Work must be up for the entire 90 days. If sold, it can be delivered to the buyer at the end of the show. Or if the artist can replace with a similar piece approved by The Molecule Effect.

  4. Announcement Postcards: These are optional and left to the discretion of the artist. The Molecule Effect can provide a standard printed postcard that includes our logo, artist information and artwork, our address, hours of operation, etc. *Prices provided if requested.

The Molecule Effect reserves the right to reject any and all artwork that is deemed unsuitable, due to unprofessional presentation, which may include, but not be limited to, wet or unfinished work, pieces which are not ready to install (lack appropriate hanging hardware or method), as well as those that are toxic or present a potential danger to itself and/or its surroundings. The Molecule Effect is not responsible for any loss or damage, even though we make every effort to handle all work with extreme care.

Installation: Installation and deinstallation of your show are done by the artist after The Molecule Effect is closed for business.

Documentation and Advertising: Shows are documented on The Molecule Effects website and social media pages with the image, title and statement sent by the artist along with their website link. The Molecule Effect digitally documents each show and retains the images for our archives.

Hours and Opening Reception: We are open Monday thru Saturday 7:00am - 9:00pm Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm. Artists have the option to have an opening reception for their work. We align the installation and deinstallation in the week of the Denver Art District First Friday Artwalk. We highly suggest having an opening reception on First Friday as we have great foot traffic and extend our hours.
